The Colts have a pair of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, but this franchise has had many others under center.

The Colts are one of the oldest franchises in the NFL and have a storied history because of it. Multiple Hall of Famers have worn the horseshoe but most of the attention is given to this team’s quarterbacks. Recent history would suggest that the Colts are a QB factory, never having to face a rotating door at the position, but history paints a different picture.

Since 1998, just six different plays have started at QB for the Colts, with four being the result of injuries. Other teams have started as many as 25 players in that time span. But between 1984 and 1998, the Colts went through their own struggles, starting 15 different quarterbacks over the 15 year span.

And that is just the Indianapolis history. 18 more players took snaps under center when the team was in Baltimore. Out of those 39 players to take starting snaps for the Colts, who stands out?

Here are the top 10 quarterbacks in franchise history (and one other guy who was really important).
