Most Improved Player: Donte Moncrief

I said at the beginning of this season that the only way Moncrief would be successful was if he became a better “receiver”. By that I mean he’d be a better volume reception guy and a better route runner, rather than simply a big play threat. T.Y. Hilton did it, so now it was Moncrief’s turn.

So far, Moncrief has without a doubt answered the call. Last year Moncrief caught only 32 passes in 16 games, through nine games this season Moncrief has 39 receptions. He already has more receiving touchdowns than last season, and he is set to surpass his receiving yards total within the next two games.

In a season that has been fairly disappointing for the offense, Moncrief has been one of the bright spots. He’ll continue to improve and that should put a smile on Colts fan’s faces.
