Defensive MVP: Mike Adams

Adams without a doubt should be considered the Colts defensive MVP so far this season. He has been the lone player in a weak secondary that continues to play game in, and game out.

He is leading the NFL with five interceptions, with one of those being returned for a touchdown against Tom Brady. He also has 26 total tackles on the season, which is fourth best on the team.

It seems that whenever the Colts need a big play on defense, Adams is there to make it, and in most cases it’s been in the form of a timely interceptions. On a defense that is statistically one of the worst in the game, Adams has shone brighter than others.

However, with Adams now ailing from an ankle injury suffered against Denver, the secondary may be in some trouble. As if they weren’t already in trouble. Let’s hope Adams can use the bye week to heal up in time for the Falcons game, but for now I’d say he’s the defensive MVP.
