Colts vs Jaguars Injury Report: Andrew Luck Limited

The Indianapolis Colts have a number of injuries heading into Sunday’s matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. None of those injuries are more concerning than that of Andrew Luck‘s throwing shoulder.

Luck was limited in Wednesday’s practice due to soreness in his right shoulder. It was speculated before practice as he did not take his normal number of warmup reps and confirmed by coach Chuck Pagano afterwards. Neither Luck nor Pagano seemed overly concerned and it sounds like there isn’t any doubt over whether or not Luck will play Sunday. The team is merely being overly cautious with this injury.

Tight end Dwayne Allen was held out of practice with the same ankle injury that kept him out against the Titans. Allen stated last week that he thought he’d be ready to go against the Jaguars, but his week isn’t off to a great start.

Cornerbacks Darius Butler (hip) and Greg Toler (neck) were both limited in practice today. Butler has missed the past two games while Toler has been out since the second game of the preseason.

OLB Trent Cole was out once again as he battles a knee injury. Cole was kept out against the Titans but it wasn’t considered serious.

Rookie running back Josh Robinson was limited today with a sore back. Guard Hugh Thornton was also limited with a knee injury (and chronic holding disease).

Rookie running back Tyler Varga is currently in the concussion protocol after suffering the head injury this past week.

Vontae Davis, Robert Mathis, and Andre Johnson all had Wednesday off for rest.
