Andrew Luck: Quarters 1-3

Stat line: 7-of-17, 116 yards, two interceptions

PFF Grade (overall): -2.4

This Andrew Luck definitely has cable (promise to never make that joke again). This is basically the player we’ve seen through the first two games of the season. He doesn’t look comfortable, he’s making bad reads, and not throwing an accurate pass.

The two interceptions were particularly ugly. The out route to T.Y. Hilton was a bad idea and lacked any heat (looking like a current Peyton Manning pass). The second interception came on a scramble and off his back foot. It was second-and-four and he could have easily thrown the ball away (or eaten the sack).

Luck has had bad stretches before, but the start to this season had been troubling. He’s dealt with a weak offensive line for his entire career and doesn’t appear to be seeing the field like he has in the past. We also haven’t seen any of those “wow” passes from Luck that only a few players in the league can make.

Most of his mistakes are correctable, and the coaches just need to figure out a way to make Luck more comfortable and the receivers in a better position to succeed.

Next: Catch-less
