The Colts 3rd round rookie was supposed to push veteran Kendall Langford for the other defensive end job, but it looks as though he could now be starting along the defensive line regardless.

Henry Anderson was thought to be one of the steals of the draft for the Colts, and so far through preseason, he’s played like it. While he was rated highly last season by the advanced graders and statisticians alike during his senior season at Stanford, that’s so far carried over to the NFL.

According to PFF, Anderson has received a +3.5 grade overall through 3 preseason games, including a +4.1 grade in run defense. It’s a bit surprising considering Anderson was known to be more of a pass rusher than run stuffer while playing for the Cardinal.

However, the Colts clearly won’t complain either way.
