Josh Robinson

Robinson was very impressive in his first game for the Colts. He had 44 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries as well as a reception for 11 yards. He was on the field for 27 snaps, a number that should go up this weekend.

Robinson might not be a burner in the backfield, but he did show off his elusiveness and ability to break tackles against the Eagles. He was credited with four missed tackles (three of which came on his touchdown run) and generally managed to move the pile downfield after contact.

Robinson also showed off his skills as a blocker. He was forced to pick up a few blitzes and each time managed to stop the rusher dead. Robinson was pushed back each time and needs to work on his technique, but didn’t allow any pressure on any of the Colts QBs.

Assuming his usage goes up on Saturday (and it should), we’ll be looking to see if this strong first performance continues in Week 2 of the preseason.
