You can’t call Allen’s 2014 season a down year by any stretch, he caught right touchdowns, but only had 395 receiving yards. You can say that Allen is overlooked in this Colts offense coming into 2015, if you recall Allen had over 500 receiving yards in his rookie season! The reason Allen gets overlooked is because the Colts do have other offensive weapons at wide receiver and running back, and last season Andrew Luck and Coby Fleener found their groove, making Fleener the number one tight end on the roster. This season when defenses gameplan for the Colts, they will focus on the wide receivers, running backs, and Fleener. I truly believe that defenses will forget to gameplan for Dwayne Allen, not because he’s bad or anything, it’s just the Colts have so much to plan for on offense, you can’t find a way to plan for all they have to offer! Fleener will get his touches, but I think we may see a shift in who has the power at the tight end position this season, Allen had everything working in his favor going into 2015.
