Colts Offensive Line: ESPN’s ‘Talking Body’
ESPN’s “Body Issue” is slated to hit newsstands on July 10th, but Indianapolis Colts fans can already get a sneak peak of an exclusive story that features three members of the team’s offensive line in Anthony Castonzo, Todd Herremans, and Jack Mewhort. (As a potential disclaimer and perhaps warning, it leaves very little to the imagination.)
Sometimes, pictures speak more than what 1,000 words ever could, so I’ll just let mainstream members of the national media take it from here:
Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, but credit has to go to the Colts offensive line trio for trying something completely different and making fans reconsider just how they view offensive lineman as generally fat, “big uglies” in the trenches. It’s easy to forget that they’re athletes after all, and oftentimes, some of the best ones on the field.
Still, that didn’t stop Mewhort from thinking he was on some familiar version of MTV’s Punk’d, when he initially received the request for an exclusive interview and photoshoot:
"“That’s why when I got this call [to be in the Body Issue], I was like, ‘They want to see me naked?’ I thought I was getting punked,” said Mewhort."
Now we’re talking body…
