Colts Most Valuable Player: Andrew Luck

The easiest “no-brainer” of all the honors, Andrew Luck is coming off an impressive 40 touchdown regular season with the Colts last year. Not only this, but he pretty much carried the Colts to the AFC Championship game despite playing with a 3rd-string running back as a starter, a depleted receiving corps, and a patchwork offensive line.

Blessed with a strong arm, supreme athleticism, and a tremendous feel for the game, Luck is seemingly the total package at quarterback. He’s already lived up to his #1 overall pick billing in 2012 and more so with plays like this:

Set to turn 26 years old in September, Luck is among one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL at such a tender age. He has a chance to become a serious candidate for MVP honors in the entire league, not just what’s already a given on the Colts.

With the Colts poised to make some serious noise in the NFL with a number of high profile veteran additions, it’s not a longshot that Luck could take home MVP honors along with the Lombardi Trophy.

Here’s hoping anyways…
