Donald Celiscar: Cornerback/Safety, Western Michigan
The 5’11, 194 pound Donald Celiscar has the versatility to player either cornerback or safety at the NFL level, although his lack of deep speed could ultimately force him to play the latter. The Colts will likely to try to keep him at cornerback initially.
Last season for the Broncos, Celiscar had 63 tackles and 4 interceptions in 13 games, in addition to his 17 passes deflected which led the nation.
While the Colts drafted two players at both cornerback and safety in D’Joun Smith and Clayton Geathers respectively, the defense still needs a 5th cornerback and could use additional safety depth regardless.
Celiscar apparently already has made an impression from last weekend’s Colts rookie mini-camp, where he reportedly “made plays”:
@ArieWeelden15 Not a ton of 11-on-11 work but along with Dorsett, UDFA cornerback Donald Celiscar has made some nice plays.
