Analysis: The 6’3″, 255 pound Galea played defensive line for the Aztecs, but is expected to play as a 3-4 outside linebacker at the NFL level. Last season, he recorded 50 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks in 13 games.
At his pro day, Galea recorded a 4.74 forty time, had 30 bench reps, and boasted a vertical jump of 35.5 inches.
The Colts are stacked as the outside linebacker position up top, with Robert Mathis, Trent Cole, Erik Walden, Jonathan Newsome, and Bjoern Werner in the fold. However, Galea could push either Daniel Adongo or Cam Johnson for a potential backup and special teams role behind them.
