The AFC South teams were among the most active in the first week of NFL free-agency. All four teams had money to spend and made moves to significantly improve their rosters.
The flurry of moves by the division prompted some to believe that the AFC South is the hottest division in football right now.
The Indianapolis Colts made moves to retain their throne in the division, but every other team is steadily improving despite one fatal flaw.
Who is the quarterback for the Houston Texans?
Or Tennessee Titans?
Or Jacksonville Jaguars?
Since its inception, the teams in the AFC South have decided that the key to franchise building must be stopping the Colts quarterback. They spent over a decade scheming against Peyton Manning while neglecting to address the most important position in all of sports, the quarterback.
With the rise of Andrew Luck, these teams are still attempting to build on defense in order to contain the Colts QB. By the way, the Colts are 12-0 against the division over the past two seasons and have lost just two games in the divisions since 2012.
Despite not truly addressing this need, the Colts opponents in 2015 looked to be improvements over last years models.
