Re-Sign Redding:

While the Colts assuredly wanted to do this regardless of Jean-Francois’ release, it may not ultimately be their decision. At age 34, Cory Redding just completed the last year of his original Colts contract and is mulling retirement after playing 12 seasons in the NFL. If he indeed returns, it’s assumed it will be to the Colts and presumably no one else.

Last season, Redding recorded 35 tackles and 3.5 sacks for the Colts, making all 16 starts. He was graded out favorably by ProFootballFocus (subscription) as the 18th best 3-4 defensive end overall, and as a veteran leader, would likely be a welcomed return.
