One of the best things you can say about an offensive lineman is that you didn’t really notice them. That would apply to Mewhort this season. Most of the time, linemen are highlighted when they miss a block and it causes a sack, but Mewhort gave up just three this season and was a solid run blocker.

Mewhort also played two games a right tackle, where he was up and down. Against Tennessee, he put in a solid effort but struggled in the playoffs at the position against the Bengals.

He had a roughly average season and as a second round rookie who was forced into the starting lineup, that has to be a win for the Colts.

He was a mixed bag this season, never really stringing together great games. He was out for two games early in the year, but that was hardly a concern considering all the shuffling along the line.

Its reasonable to expect Mewhort to improve in 2015. He’ll help solidify the left side of the offensive line with Castonzo and the Colts will have one less concern.
