Colts Injury Report: Hilton, Davis Sit Out Practice
By Evan Reller
The Indianapolis Colts face the Dallas Cowboys, but could be without their best weapon on offense.
T.Y. Hilton sat out Wednesday’s practice with a sore hamstring. He underwent a MRI Sunday night but the results came back negative.
Coach Chuck Pagano is holding out hope that Hilton will be ready to go by Sunday and said that it was promising that he would. The Colts planned to hold him out of Wednesday’s practice as a precaution and will reevaluate his status on Thursday.
Cornerback Vontae Davis was also out on Wednesday with a sore groin. He said that everyone is injured at this point in the year and expects to play on Sunday.
Tackle Gosder Cherilus was kept out Wednesday also with a sore groin.
Guard Joe Reitz is still nursing an ankle sprain and it is unlikely he’ll be ready to go by this weekend. Guard Hugh Thornton continues to rest a sore knee that has kept him out for the past couple weeks. Thornton has missed six games this season and cannot seem to stay healthy.
OLB Erik Walden continues to rest a sore knee each week. He’s been out on Wednesday for the past few weeks, only to ease back into practice and play on Sunday.
D’Qwell Jackson and Josh Cribbs were both given Wednesday off for rest.
