The Colts have gotten a bit of good news recently, as it was reported in Wednesday’s injury report that DE/DT Arthur Jones was a full participant in practice. He had not fully participated in a practice since Week 8 and has missed most of the season due to a severely sprained ankle. While Ricky Jean-Francois has largely played well in his absence, he’ll be a boost for the Colts’ defensive front and should help in stopping the run if healthy.

Colts tight end Dwayne Allen (doubtful) did not practice on Wednesday, nursing a sprained ankle suffered in this past Sunday night’s loss. It’s looking increasingly unlikely that he’ll be able to play on Sunday. He’ll likely miss at least a week or two, indicated by the team just recently signing tight end Weslye Saunders for depth.
A few Colts’ veterans like Gosder Cherilus, D’Qwell Jackson, and Reggie Wayne also did not practice, but that was likely for rest purposes for this veteran group of players. Trent Richardson also did not practice because of a listed “illness”, but signs indicate that he’ll play on Sunday.
One starter who could potentially miss Sunday’s game is cornerback Greg Toler (questionable), who is listed as having a concussion and missed Wednesday’s practice. It will be interesting to see if Toler can pass the league’s concussion protocol before this weekend’s game. If not, cornerback Josh Gordy will see extended playing time filling-in.
