According to the IndyStar’s Stephen Holder, Indianapolis Colts’ head coach Chuck Pagano announced that the team’s 3rd cornerback, Darius Butler, will be out once again in Sunday’s match-up against the Cincinnati Bengals. He is still dealing with a lingering ankle injury, which forced him to miss last Thursday night’s game against the Houston Texans.

In his absence, the Colts will yet again turn to 4-year veteran Josh Gordy, who will man the nickel cornerback role for the 2nd consecutive week. Gordy played in 47 of the defense’s 54 snaps last game (PFF), so it’s a big role he’s been filling in Butler’s absence.

Pagano also announced that DE Arthur Jones, who was injured in Week 2 with a severe ankle sprain against the Philadelphia Eagles, is still questionable. Jones had practiced earlier this week on a limited basis and was a full participant in Friday’s practice.
