How Are Colts Players Rated in Madden 15?

Every year, NFL fans flock to stores to purchase the latest installment of the Madden NFL series made by EA Sports. Recently, EA Sports has been releasing the full player ratings for every team in the NFL. On August 4, the ratings for the AFC and NFC South were released, including those of the Indianapolis Colts.

Colts fans may be excited to take on Pep Hamilton‘s role as offensive coordinator and take control of a loaded offense. In Madden 15, just like in real life, the Colts are loaded at wide receiver, featuring a fitting 87 overall rating for Reggie Wayne, an 85 for T.Y. Hilton, and an 84 for Hakeem Nicks. Some controversy was created however, when it was revealed that quarterback Andrew Luck‘s rating was 88, four lower than fellow 2012 draftee Russell Wilson.

As expected, the interior of the line is programmed as a weakness highlighted by a 76 overall Hugh Thornton. The big men on the other side of the ball are also riddled with question marks, once again on the interior, namely the two 68 overall nose tackles, Josh Chapman and Montori Hughes.

The defense’s saving grace is in the two highest rated players on the Colts roster in Madden this year (pending the ratings of the Boomstick himself, Pat McAfee and Mr. Clutch, Adam Vinatieri). Not surprisingly, outside linebacker Robert Mathis boasts a 93 overall after tallying 19.5 sacks in his best season as a pro last year. What did shock some people; however, was the 92 overall rating awarded to cornerback Vontae Davis, making him the fifth highest rated corner in Madden 15 and the second highest rated player for the Colts.
