Expectations for the 2014 Indianapolis Colts

As 2014 training camp looms for the NFL, there is a lot of buzz surrounding the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts will begin training camp on Wednesday, July 23rd, and many eyes around the league will be squarely focused on what’s going on with Andrew Luck at Anderson University. There are also many interesting position battles on both sides of the ball. Indianapolis has a very deep roster of wide receivers, even with the recent of release of LaVon Brazill. Fingers are crossed for the impending return of WR – Reggie Wayne, but everything else is up for grabs for the other receivers. The Colts still have no clear-cut starter at the running back position, and the entire offensive line has been in flux for several seasons.

The Colts are still among the youngest teams in the league, but much interest will be directly on the production of their youthful crop of veterans. The coaching staff has also been together for a while now, and will look to take their team’s current scheme into effective victories. If the Colts want to make a serious run at a 2014 title, then they will have to take that scheme and these position players to the next level.
