The Indianapolis Colts may have an issue brewing with S – LaRon Landry.

Landry was brought into the fold last season, as one of the biggest free agent additions that Indianapolis has added in a long time. During the Chuck Pagano/Ryan Grigson era, the Colts have mostly chose to make small moves in big positions. Landry, who was coming off of a Pro Bowl season with the New York Jets, was the big splash.

Landry came to the Colts on fire, totalling 26 tackles in the first two games last season. Following that start, Landry was subdued by injuries, and did not put up more than single-digit tackles in any other game. Last season, the Colts saw both the positive and negative side of signing the former Pro Bowl safety.

This offseason, landry hasn’t done much to make his situation look any more beneficial. Landry chose not to attend the initial voluntary organized team activities, and was also a last-minute attendant to last week’s minicamp. Once Landry did arrive to Colts camp, he didn’t participate, due to soft tissue damage.

LaRon Landry could either make this team, or break this team. He has the ability to punish opposing offenses, but can also get burnt for a long touchdown run, as we all saw in the NFL Playoffs against the New England Patriots. This season will be big for Landry, and he is not starting off on the right foot.
