On Saturday afternoon, the Indianapolis Colts finished their portion of the 2014 NFL Draft. While there has been much interest and speculation about how Indianapolis drafted, the team had to move on, considering the fact that they were without a round one selection.
The Colts finished rounds six and seven, by adding a bit more depth to both sides of the ball. In round six (203rd overall), the Colts selected ILB – Andrew Jackson, from Western Kentucky University. a team can never have enough linebackers, and adding Jackson (6ft 1in, 254lbs) could boost that aspect of the Indianapolis defense.
The Colts used their round seven selection on another addition to the offensive line. With the 232nd overall pick, the Colts selected OT – Ulrick John, from Georgia State. At 6ft 5in and 288lbs, John has the chance to becomeanother possible piece for an Indianapolis offense line that has been in flux for several seasons.
