St. Patrick’s Day did not start very bright for Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts. Irsay, who has admitted recently to not having a drink  of booze in 15 years, was arrested over the weekend in Carmel, Indiana for suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance. At the time of this post, details are sketchy, but as of early Monday morning, Irsay remains in the Hamilton County jail, and has a bond hearing around 1pm.

Irsay has dealt with alcohol and drug abuse in the past, and has been to rehab for those issues. The owner of the Colts has more recently been making national news for his Twitter account, and his wild Tweets at all hours of the night. Irsay also took lots of flack for his decision to part ways with QB – Peyton Manning.
