What Will C – Phil Costa Do For Indianapolis Colts?

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports
The Indianapolis Colts have officially tried to fill their empty center position.
The Colts have signed former Dallas Cowboys center, Phil Costa, to replace a roster spot for released center Samson Satele. The Colts are currently without a starter at the center position, so the signing of Costa is a necessity.
Costa (6’3”, 302 lbs), was taken by Dallas in 2010, as an undrafted free agent. Costa has played in 26 games as a pro in the NFL, but may not be what the Colts are looking for. Either Indianapolis has found a diamond in the rough, or they are just trying to pad a weak spot on their roster.
Costa may not be the final solution to the Colts’ issues at the center spot. If Costa does win the starting center job, it will be the third center that Andrew Luck has had in three years. Costa may be a good addition, but there may be more big guys in line in the future for the Colts.
