Merry Christmas, Colts Fans! The Colts are the AFC South Champions again and have secured a playoff berth with one week still remaining in the regular season. Colts Nation has been given many grand gifts this year, and there’s much to celebrate.
On the first day of Colts-mas, Indianapolis gave to me, one AFC South title.
The Colts clinched the AFC South in Week 14 and as of this week have yet to lose a divisional contest this season.
On the second day of Colts-mas, Indianapolis gave to me, two Hall of Fame finalists, and one AFC South title.
Former head coach Tony Dungy and receiver Marvin Harrison could both be first-ballot Hall of Famers.
One the third day of Colts-mas, Indianapolis gave to me, three Stanford starters, two Hall of Fame finalists, and one AFC South title.
Andrew Luck, Coby Fleener, and Griff Whalen all played together at Stanford and worked with offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton.
On the fourth day of Colts-mas, Indianapolis gave to me, four major upsets, three Stanford starters, two Hall of Fame finalists, and one AFC South title.
The 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos, and Chiefs are a combined 0-4 against the Colts but 45-10 against everyone else.
On the fifth day of Colts-mas, Indianapolis gave to me, five multi-sack games, four major upsets, three Stanford starters, two Hall of Fame finalists, and one AFC South title.
Robert Mathis is in the hunt for the league’s Defensive Player of the Year honors and ranks second in the league in sacks. He’s had multiple sacks in a game five times this season.
On the sixth day of Colts-mas, Indianapolis gave to me, six next-man-ups, five multi-sack games, four major upsets, three Stanford starters, two Hall of Fame finalists, and one AFC South title.
The Colts lost six key starters this year to injury – Vick Ballard, Donald Thomas, Ahmad Bradshaw, Dwayne Allen, Pat Angerer, and Reggie Wayne – but other players stepped up in their absence and helped the Colts make the playoffs.
On the seventh day of Colts-mas, Indianapolis gave to me, seven Brown touchdowns, six next-man-ups, five multi-sack games, four major upsets, three Stanford starters, two Hall of Fame finalists, and one AFC South title.
Donald Brown was the surprise star at the running back position, even after the Colts traded a first-round pick for Trent Richardson. He’s scored seven touchdowns this season, five on the ground and two through the air.

Adam Vinatieri, in his eighteenth season (he’s 41!), set a career high this year by making 32 field goals. He’s made 100% of his kicks on eight occasions this season.

The Colts have a lot of promising youth on the team with eight active rookies and one on injured reserve after starting multiple games.

Andrew Luck threw for 200+ yards on 11 occasions this year.

Regardless of the odds or what the numbers/statistics say, the Colts always have a chance to win with Andrew Luck, No.12, under center. Colts fans have been blessed with yet another franchise quarterback after enjoying 14 years with Peyton Manning. Talk about being “luck-y!”
