Don’t Let the Indianapolis Colts Fool You

Things are looking up right now for the Indianapolis Colts, but things can change in an instant.

On the upside, the Colts have regained the AFC South crown. Indianapolis put an exclamation point on that accomplishment, with a dominating 25-3 home victory over the division rival Houston Texans. The Texans’ franchise remain winless at Lucas Oil Stadium, and the Colts remain the only team in the NFL that are currently 5-0 against their division. Indianapolis is yet to lose back-to-back games in the Chuck Pagano/Andrew Luck era. Indianapolis is guaranteed at least one home game in the NFL Playoffs, and could still reach the second seed in the AFC.

On the odd side, these Colts have been a calamity at times. The Colts may have not lost back-to-back games, but they have also lost three of their past six contests. During their most recent losses, Indianapolis has been outscored 120-47. In fact, until the Houston win, the Colts had not scored a first-half touchdown, since October 20th.

This team has proven itself to be as messy as it is majestic. Indianapolis has beaten some of the best teams in the NFL this season, but have also proven to be inept in certain losses. This team can be equally dominating and dominated, depending on the situation. Only time will tell which team we will see in the postseason.
