Even though they are in control of the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts are beaten and bruised. Moves must be made, and the Indianapolis Colts continue to make those moves, in order to adjust their roster.
On Tuesday, the Colts elevated OLB – Daniel Adongo and T – Xavier Nixon from the practice squad to the active roster. Indianapolis also agreed to terms with FB – Robert Hughes and DT – Jeris Pendleton. Pendleton will be signed to the practice squad. Indianapolis also placed LB – Mario Harvey and RB –Daniel Herron on the Injured Reserve List.
Adongo was signed to the practice squad on September 1st, 2013.
Nixon was signed to the Colts’ active roster from the Washington Redskins practice squad on September 24, 2013. He was waived on October 28. He was then signed to the Colts practice squad the next day.
Harvey played in all 12 games this season with the Colts. He has appeared in 25 games, making 15 tackles. Hughes also played in five games with the Colts in 2012.
Herron was signed by the Colts from the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad on October 9, 2013. In six games this season, he recorded five rushes for 33 yards and one reception for 57 yards. He also contributed with six special teams tackles.
Pendleton was originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round (228th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played in four games and made one solo tackle in 2012 before being released by the Jaguars on May 22, 2013. He then signed with the Dallas Cowboys on June 12 and was released on August 26th.
