The Indianapolis Colts may get their top rookie back soon.
OLB-Bjoern Werner returned to practice on Wednesday, for the first time in over a month. Werner went down in week four with a foot injury. Werner did a full practice in his return to the field, and may even play in a limited role against the Houston Texans this Sunday night.
The Colts took Werner in the 1st round of this year’s NFL Draft, and look forward to having him back, on the opposite side of AFC Defensive Player of the Month, Robert Mathis. In four games this season, Werner has just five total tackles, but his presence will be a welcome addition back to the field.
