Indianapolis, IN – The Indianapolis Colts have been wrecked with injuries throughout the course of this season, but they have received some good news prior to their Week 7 match-up with the Denver Broncos. We’ll go more in depth about the good news later on in the article, so here is the Colts’ injury report;

  • Darius Butler – Questionable
  • Kelvin Sheppard – Questionable
  • Bjoern Werner – Out
  • LaRon Landry – Probable
  • Delano Howell – Probable
  • Jerrell Freeman – Probable

The big news is obviously surrounding Colts safety LaRon Landry being cleared to play tonight. Indianapolis signed him this past season and through the first two games he showed up and played a large role on their defense. The Colts are going to be needing anything and everything they can get to help make plays in the secondary against the Peyton Manning led Denver Bronco offense. Landry is capable of picking the football off, but he’s also capable of making huge hits and forcing fumbles. He’s a sure tackler, which will definitely come in handy against the Broncos as well.

Injuries have taken a huge toll on the Colts to this point of the season, but they appear to be beginning to get more healthy at just the right time. Werner will miss a bit more time, but will come back at some point in the near future as well. Overall, the addition of Landry makes the Colts much, much better. Peyton Manning will likely still have a big game, but at least it adds one more playmaker for the Colts defense.
