Three “Fantasy Studs” for the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5

Indianapolis, IN – The Indianapolis Colts are facing their second difficult NFC West opponent in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks. Thankfully, they are back in the friendly confines of Lucas Oil Stadium after two big road victories over the 49ers and Jaguars. There are three Colts in particular that you should start on your fantasy football squad this week.

1. Trent Richardson, Running Back

The Seahawks have one of the most dangerous defenses in the NFL, especially against that pass. Richardson will be the feature back once again this week with Ahmad Bradshaw missing his second consecutive week due to a neck injury. Indianapolis Offensive Coordinator Pep Hamilton will try to pound the football to open up the passing game for Andrew Luck. If you’re a Trent Richardson owner, make sure that he is in your lineup. He’s poised to get a good amount of carries, and he’s been very adamant that he will be racking up 100-yard games in no time.

2. Coby Fleener, Tight End

Fleener matches up very well against this strong Seattle defense. He’s very quick for a tight end, and will have no problems beating the Seahawks’ linebackers when given the chance. Luck and Fleener had a great connection last week in Jacksonville, and Fleener is beginning to get more and more comfortable in the starting role. If you have him as a tight end, and other options don’t look attractive, make sure you plug Fleener into your starting lineups.

3. Andrew Luck, Quarterback

Even though he is going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL, you just can’t bet against Andrew Luck. He plays with a poise beyond his years, and has shown that he is more than capable of picking apart elite defenses. Trent Richardson will pound the football on the ground to make the Seattle defense respect the ground game, and that will open up opportunities for Luck to take some shots down the field.

Those are the three guys to watch out for in particular for the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday. The Colts’ defense may have a decent game as well, with the pass-rush starting to figure things out and the play-makers that they have in their secondary. We don’t view them as a top-notch bet at this point, but they’re certainly better than some of the other options out there this week.
