Injuries Nag Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are banged up, but they are trying to not let it get the best of them.
The Colts went into their first road game of the season last Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers without their starting center, safety, and inside linebacker. Prior to their victory over the 49ers, the Colts had also lost their leading rusher (RB-Vick Ballard) and starting tight end (TE-Dwayne Allen) for the season. During that game, RB-Ahmad Bradshaw suffered an injury to his neck, as well. Bradshaw finished the game with a team-high 95 yards rushing, but is questionable for this Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Injuries are all around the NFL every season, and the Colts are no less susceptible than any other team in the league. Still, few teams in the league this year can say that they have lost two major starting offensive players for the season already. Considering these issues, it is fairly impressive that they Colts have not seemed to skip a beat on the field. Yes, the Colts lost at home to the Miami Dolphins in week two, and looked limp in doing so, but they have still fought on.
This team, in the second year of the Andrew Luck/Chuck Pagano era, is still trying to get used to new players, coaches, and schemes. The Colts are admirable for their ability to overcome these types of adversity, but if injuries continue to mount, there’s only so many healthy bodies to go around.
