San Francisco, CA – The Indianapolis Colts have officially ruled LB Pat Angerer (knee) out for their Week 3 match-up against the San Francisco 49ers. He was listed as doubtful all week, and will be missed in a game that the Colts need as much defensive help as they can get.
Angerer missed the Colts’ Week 1 match-up against the Oakland Raiders, but returned last week against the Dolphins and played a very solid game. He totaled 11 tackles in Week 2, and stepped up to be one of the leaders for the middle line of defense. Indianapolis needs any and every bit of help that they can get this afternoon against the San Francisco 49ers, and missing Angerer will certainly hurt.
Injuries have been the tale of Pat Angerer’s recent history, and he has become a player who is expected to be listed on each week’s injury report. That being said, he’s extremely talented, and will remain a key piece of the Colts’ defense whenever he is able to play.
