TE Dwayne Allen Sits Out Practice for Indianapolis Colts

Dwayne Allen, second-year starting tight end for the Indianapolis Colts, sat out training camp practice on Thursday.
Allen began feeling discomfort in one of his feet after the night practice that the Colts held on Tuesday. The Colts were off on Wednesday, and were without Allen for walk-through and practice on Thursday.
As of press time of this article, there is no in-depth details of the extent to Allen’s foot injury, or how much time he might miss. More information is expected to be made available on Friday, after further evaluation.
Allen’s health is a key point to the success of the Indianapolis offense. Whether Allen may have to sit out practice on Friday or possibly not play in their preseason opener on Sunday, it would benefit the coaching staff to be cautious. With the rash of preseason injuries going on around the NFL, it’s not worth the risk, to possibly lose a player for the games that actually matter.
