Roster Moves for the Indianapolis Colts

With training camp, comes injuries. When those injuries occur, moves must be made.

Even though the Indianapolis Colts are only a week into their training camp, they have already started to suffer a few injuries on the offensive line. The offensive line is one of the biggest concerns for the Colts this season, and any injury that occurs in that area, is to be considered a serious one. With the fact that the Colts have to find (and keep) a steady roster of offensive line starters and backups, Indianapolis has decided to pick up another center.

The Colts have signed free agent center Thomas Austin. Austin has been on the roster of four NFL teams, since being signed in 2010, as an undrafted free agent. Austin (6’4”, 310lbs) has appeared in seven career games as a pro.

To make space for the roster move, the Colts waived inside linebacker Scott Lutrus, who has been off and on the Injured Reserve list since November of 2012.
