Injury Bug Bites the Indianapolis Colts at 2013 Training Camp

The 2013 training camp has already brought a multitude of injuries upon the NFL. Over 40 injuries have already occurred, after two weeks of full team practices. There’s something to consider for a player that isn’t quite in “football shape”, but still, eyebrows get raised when injuries pile up.

The Indianapolis Colts are no exception.

To be honest, the Colts have been lucky with injuries so far in training camp. Several players have went down with minor or day-to-day injuries, but no serious issues have occurred so far in camp.

The offensive line for the Colts has been hit already, with rookie center Khaled Holmes, and guard Joe Reitz both having issues early in practice. The offensive line was the weakest (and most injured) spot on the Colts’ roster last season, and will have to be solid in 2013, if they expect to keep their quarterback on their feet.

The reloaded Colts secondary also took a hit this week, as cornerback Greg Toler went down with a concussion in practice. Toler has went through concussion tests, and the issue has been listed as minor, but what does that really mean?

The injuries are mounting up around the league, and will continue to do so, as we get closer to the NFL regular season. The Colts have already had their issues with injury, but hopefully they can keep it under control.
