The Indianapolis Colts announced a couple of roster moves on Saturday, though nothing to get excited about. Linebacker Pat Angerer and defensive lineman Fili Moala will be starting off training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

With Angerer projected as a likely starter, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Kelvin Sheppard–acquired in a trade from the Buffalo Bills–took his place as the other starting ILB next to Jerrell Freeman. The Colts also have Kavell Conner, who has starting experience for them as well.

Moala is one of the most experienced defensive linemen on the Colts’ roster, so this could just mean he might lose a bit of playing time early on in the season. He’s become a whipping boy of sorts for Colts fans, and with the depth they have on the defensive line this year, it could be good for some younger guys to get experience and reps at practice as the Colts move toward the future.

The Colts players arrived for training camp on Saturday, and the first practice will be held on Sunday, July 28th. The first practice open to the public will be at 1:50 PM at Anderson University, the fourth straight year the Colts have held training camp on campus.
