Bjoern Werner is Still Unsigned by Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts and their first round draft pick are still working towards a contract agreement.
Outside line backer Bjoern Werner was selected by the Colts with the 24th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, and remains the only draft pick by the Colts that is still unsigned. Werner, a unanimous All-American and ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012, is expected to be a key component of the Colts defense for years to come. Werner (6ft 3in, 266lbs) was a standout at Florida State, after moving to the United States from Berlin, Germany.
With less than a week until the Colts begin their 2013 NFL training camp, they need to make sure all of their draft picks are ready to practice on time. Getting Werner signed is of premium importance. Although Werner has yet to comment about the possibility of a hold out, he would be missing valuable practice during his first NFL training camp if he can’t get a contract signed.
