On Thursday, the Indianapolis Colts continued to trim down their roster.

The Colts made a trade with the Baltimore Ravens, swapping center A.Q. Shipley for a conditional pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. On the Colts end, the trade may be more about making room for some new talent on the offensive line, as well as trying to build up picks for their draft next season.

Shipley, who was brought to the Colts in January of last year, did well when called upon in the 2012 season. Due to numerous injuries to starting center Samson Satele, Shipley appeared in 14 games last season. Shipley started at the center position for the final three games of the regular season.

Although Shipley stepped up when his number was called, he was still a part a very shaky offensive line in Indianapolis. The Colts have spent the last two years trying to build a solid offensive line for Andrew Luck, and it seems that they will continue to try new pieces in new places, until those pieces fit.
