Reggie Wayne and Andrew Luck Bring Teammates to NFL Pro Bowl

Wide receiver Reggie Wayne and rookie quarterback Andrew Luck are two of three Indianapolis Colts (along with linebacker Robert Mathis) that will be part of this Sunday’s NFL Pro Bowl. The Colts had one of the greatest turnaround seasons in NFL history last year, but still are noticeably thin when it comes to Pro Bowl players. Nevertheless, Wayne and Luck have decided that they would rather not go to Hawaii alone.

Wayne and Luck both chose to bring a few other Colts to the Pro Bowl with them. Wayne is entering his sixth Pro Bowl in 12 seasons as a pro. Luck is making his first Pro Bowl appearance, after a record-breaking rookie season. Both players decided to spread the joy, by inviting several of their fellow teammates to Hawaii, and footing the bill for the trip.

Wayne paid the way to the Aloha state for the rest of the wide receivers on the Indianapolis Colts roster. Luck chose to bring fellow rookie quarterback Chandler Harnish with him to the Pro bowl celebrations. Harnish was chosen by the Colts with the very last pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, after the Colts took Luck with the number one overall pick. Harnish is currently the third-string quarterback on the Colts’ roster.

The fact that these two players would show such appreciation for there teammates is an honorable effort. This Indianapolis team put together one of the most inspirational seasons in Colts’ history. Having the Pro Bowlers bring their teammates along with them is a sign of solidarity, and also a sign that this team is tight-knit, which will prove to help them in the future.
