Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano has finished up a third and final round of chemotherapy. Pagano has been battling leukemia since being diagnosed with the disease in September. Expectations are tempered, but there is hope that Pagano could return to the sideline to coach his team for their last regular season game, at home against the Houston Texans, on December 30th.

Coach Pagano has been slowly easing himself back into the football life recently. He has made several trips to the Colts practice facility, and has attended the last two Indianapolis home games. Pagano has been studying game tape, and advising players individually.

The fighting efforts from their head coach has motivated his team and their city. The #CHUCKSTRONG campaign was initiated by the Colts soon after their coach was forced to leave the team after week four of the season, and quickly turned into one of the biggest stories in sports. Not only has this story inspired his team, but Pagano’s passion to return has helped inspire much of the NFL, and their fans.
