Two game balls were given out after the Indianapolis Colts upset victory over the Green Bay Packers in Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. One game ball went to interim head coach Bruce Arians, after his first win with this franchise. The other game ball was delivered to the hospitalized head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, Chuck Pagano, who was the catalyst and inspiration for one of the biggest wins in the history of this franchise.

As the NFL honored breast cancer awareness month, the head coach of the Colts was made aware that he would be sidelined, due to a battle with leukemia. Appreciation and respective responses have come from all over the NFL for Pagano, who is currently undergoing treatment. On Sunday, “CHUCKSTRONG” banners, signs,  and t-shirts were noticeable all over Lucas Oil Stadium. Not only were Colts fans wearing the “CHUCKSTRONG” t-shirts, but both Colts and Packers players were seen with the same t-shirts on before the game.

Following Sunday’s win, Pagano sent a message via the Indianapolis Star, to supporters, players, and fans. “I am the luckiest man in the world. I said it when I got this opportunity several months ago and I am repeating it now. The 12th man came through big time along with the TEAM THAT REFUSED TO LOSE…FAMILY!!! TEAM TEAM TEAM, COMMUNITY.”
