Indianapolis Colts Continue Making Moves

As was expected, the multitude of roster moves made by the Indianapolis Colts on Friday, when the franchise waived 22 players in order to reach a 53-man full team, were not the last moves to be made. The first pick-ups have been made to adjust the current roster, prior to the Colts’ week one away game against the Chicago Bears.

The Colts began making adjustments and adding players to the finalized roster by bringing in three players claimed off waivers. In order to keep the roster at the NFL-mandated 53 players, the Colts also waived three position players to make space for the new acquisitions.

The team waived safety Jermaie Hines, cornerback D.J. Johnson, and offensive tackle  Ty Nsekhe in order to make room on the roster for the additions of safety Sergio Brown, offensive tackle Mike Person, and nose tackle Martin Tevaseu.

Indianapolis may continue to add pieces here and there, to bolster up this newly-formed team. The Colts are in need of stability from top to bottom, and at this point, any move to thicken up a roster spot could be a good one.
