Indianapolis Colts Make Night Moves

Late Tuesday night, the Indianapolis Colts acquired cornerback Josh Gordy in a trade with the St. Louis Rams, for an undisclosed draft pick. Gordy, who has played in 16 games during his two-year career with the Rams and the Green bay Packers, is another addition to help bolster one of the thinner spots on the Colts roster.

On Monday, NFL teams will have to cut down from 90 players to 75, with more cuts to be made by that following Friday. There is a feeling around the franchise that this move will not be the last move made this off season. The Colts are at the top of the waiver wire, which means that they will have first dibs at many of these cut players from rosters all over the league. There is a good chance that several more players that will appear on this year’s Indianapolis Colts team are now playing on other rosters right now.

The Colts, who cut ten starters from last year’s squad, are not too endeared to certain players, simply because they made moves for them earlier this off season. many roster spots on this new team are up for grabs, and could still be filled by someone else from another team, if the coaching staff see better prospects somewhere else.
