Indianapolis Colts Open Training Camp
On Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts opened up training camp in Anderson, Indiana. Camp will run from July 29th to August 17th, which will open up the true beginning of the new era for this franchise. The first day of camp began with a familiar face in the fold amongst the new players and coaching staff. Former head coach Tony Dungy showed up in Anderson to watch this young team take into training camp for the first time.
“It was fun to see the start of a new era,” Dungy said. “I got to spend some time with Coach (Chuck) Pagano last night, and he’s very special. The Colts are going to be back in the playoffs very soon.”
Andrew Luck had a productive first day of practice, spreading the wealth between young wide outs and some of the veterans on the offense. Recever Austin Collie caught the most from Luck on Sunday. Production from Collie is a good sign, as his recent seasons have been riddled with concussion issues. If Collie can stay on the field, he will be a great asset for this offense. Luck did also throw two interceptions on Sunday, one of which was picked up by free agent aquisition, safety Tom Zbikowski.
Two -a- day practices resume early monday.
