On September 23rd, during halftime of a home game against theJacksonville Jagurs, the Indianapolis Colts will induct former running back Edgerrin James into their Ring of Honor. James, who last played in the NFL in 2009, was drafted by the Colts in 1999, with the fourth overall pick in the first round. James played for the Colts from 1999 to 2005.

The induction of James is undoubtedly apt. James left the Colts as their all-time leader in rushing yardage and rushing touchdowns. James, who was the NFL rookie of the year in 1999, also led the league in rushing in his first two seasons as a pro. James also holds the franchise record for the most yardage in a single season on the ground, with 1, 709 rushing yards during the 2000 season.

James will be the ninth person inducted into the colts Ring of Honor. all of the inductees have their names posted around the balcony of Lucas Oil Stadium.
