Indianapolis Colts Could Surprise the AFC South

It is a well-known fact that the Indianapolis Colts are reloading their team for the future. These transitions have not come easily, and are surely not totallly done, in the full efforts of a team in transition. The Colts have a lot of young and veteran talent to build on in the 2012-13 season. The Colts also have many holes to fill in hopes of plugging up a flood that could drown this franchise in the depths of the AFC South for years to come.

The Colts have more than just Luck or their side in the 2012-13 season. Seemingly every year for the last decade or more, there has been at least one or two NFL teams who have tanked one year and who have rose up the next. The Colts themselves were an indication of this anomaly, going 3-13 for two seasons straight in 1997 and 1998, then bouncing back to a 13-3 season. In 1999, the St Louis Rams did the same thing, bouncing from the bottom to the top, with a roster that has forever since been considered as the best team on turf.

Regardless of past histories, the Colts find themselves deadlocked in a division which they dominated for the best part of the last decade. The Colts were embarrassing on both sides of the football for most of the entire 2011-12 season. Still, one faulty season does not a team make.

The Colts have cut tough ties. This franchise has made several unfavorable moves in this off-season. This organization is rolling the dice with a new franchise quarterback, a new general manager, and a new coaching staff. The road to prosperity may seem rough, but in all honesty, how many teams in the AFC South can stop them?
