The Indianapolis Colts on
Wednesday promoted Tom Telesco from Director of Player Personnel to Vice President of Football Operations. I suppose this is not too much of a surprise, other than the fact that Telesco has apparently survived the bloodletting loosed by owner Jim Irsay’s terrible swift sword this winter. The word around town and the league is that new general manager Ryan Grigson is a player personnel whiz, so it makes sense that Telesco would be shifted to a different role.
On a side note, doesn’t Tom’s family name sound like some conglomerated corporation moniker? I can just hear Al Michaels now: “Welcome to Monday Night Football in Indianapolis , where the Andrew Luck-led Colts will do battle with the woeful New England Patriots at Telesco Field.”
