Ravens to Hire Jim Caldwell as Quarterbacks Coach

Ever wonder what happened to poor ol’ Jim Caldwell, who was fired by Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay after the team  went 2-14 in 2011, replaced as head coach by Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano.    Well, in a bit of NFL quid pro quo, it looks like Caldwell will join the Ravens, working on the offensive side of the ball.  No, he won’t be the offensive coordinator, as Cam Cameron has that spot locked up.    Caldwell will be the Birds’ quarterbacks coach, charged with transforming Joe Flacco into the next Peyton Manning (isn’t that supposed to be Andrew Luck??).

At this rate, you might see Caldwell on a Pop Warner field near you by the fall of 2013.
