Marvin Harrison to Be Inducted Into ‘Ring of Honor’
By Editorial Staff
Confirming the scuttle that has been butting around Indianapolis for a couple of weeks, the Colts confirmed on Tuesday that wide receiver Marvin Harrison will be inducted into the team’s “Ring of Honor” at Lucas Oil Stadium at halftime of the game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Harrison will be the eighth inductee, joining Robert Irsay, Bill Brooks, Jim Harbaugh, Chris Hinton, Tony Dungy, Ted Marchibroda and the 12th Man.
Harrison was usually the unseen Colt when no games were in progress, and he has completely disappeared from the Indianapolis scene since his retirement a few years ago. Personal problems have followed Harrison back home to Philadelphia, but he will always have a special place in the hearts of Colts fans. He is a big-time addition to a group that generally lacks star appeal.
