Colt Notes for October 19
By Editorial Staff

As Drew Brees stews at home wishing that HE were the big-name former Purdue quarterback in the NFL, the Colts prepared to play the Saints. Who dat gonna beat our Colts??? Everyone! Wednesday’s notes:
- Jim Tressel began his tenure as an “administrative assistant” for Jim Caldwell. Red and gray coffee mugs all around!
- The Colts waived WR Kole Heckendorf from injured reserve.
- Sitting out practice were RB Joseph Addai (hamstring), OT Anthony Castonzo (ankle), LB Kavell Conner (foot), TE Brody Eldridge (knee), S Antoine Bethea (tuckered out), DE Dwight Freeney (bushed), and DT Drake Nevis (back)
- Quarterback Kerry Collins was limited in practice. Limited to dreaming about what might have been were Curtis Painter not such a stalwart.
There are also unconfirmed reports that Peyton Manning ate breakfast, lunch, and maybe even dinner on Wednesday.
